Shamit Patel

Shamit Patel is the current VP of Product Management at Instawork. Shamit has also previously served as the Director of Product Management at Mindstrong from December 2019 to March 2021. During their time at Mindstrong, they were responsible for strategy, road mapping, and execution for multiple product lines which enabled 4x growth YoY and rollout to 10s of states.

Some of Shamit's notable achievements during their time at Mindstrong include creating a vision, strategy, and roadmap for their mobile app to accelerate their vision as well as building vs buying, evaluations, partner negotiations, and implementations to support a seamless app experience. Shamit also integrated Zoom and Fleksy keyboard for a seamless experience and integrated braze to enable smarter engagement channels.

In terms of growth, Shamit helped bring Mindstrong goodness to all eligible members by improving mobile onboarding transitions from phone-based signup to e2e self serve signups. Shamit also drove the New York state onboarding rollout that required e2e company-level changes across products, processes, regulations support, and people (recruiting of psychiatrists & clinicians).

Additionally, Shamit made data science improvements by increasing the Biomarker (passive monitoring using the keyboard) product AUC by +XX% using new signals. Shamit also enabled the DS team to create & release models for the rest of the company (Growth, Engagement, Capacity) frequently and with confidence by moving to new ML Infrastructure.

Lastly, Shamit's focus on Scale, Compliance, Tech enablement, and Cost helped create a trustful and compliant platform that enables rapid innovation throughout the company to meet business needs.

Shamit Patel holds a Bachelor of Engineering from VJTI (University of Mumbai) and a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

They work with Mark Wallace - CFO, Marc Caplan - VP, Hospitality Partnerships, and Daniel Altman - Chief Economist. Their manager is Sumir Meghani, CEO & Co-Founder.
