Louis Vogel

Louis Vogel currently serves as a Sénateur at the Sénat since October 2023 and has been a member of the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques at the Institut de France since January 2020. As an associé fondateur at Vogel & Vogel since 1990, Louis Vogel has built a longstanding legal practice. Previously, Louis Vogel held the positions of Maire de Melun from April 2016 to October 2023 and Président of the Communauté d'Agglomération Melun Val de Seine from April 2014 to October 2023. Louis Vogel was also the Président of the Conférence des présidents d'université - CPU from December 2010 to December 2012 and served as Président of Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas from August 2006 to June 2012. Academically, Louis Vogel is pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Droit de la concurrence at Yale University and is a graduate of Sciences Po with a focus on political science and government since 1976.
