Emilia Liana Falcone, M.D., Ph.D. has extensive work experience in various medical and research roles. Currently, they hold the position of Director of the Microbiome and Mucosal Defence Research Unit at the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal (IRCM) / Montreal Clinical Research Institute. They also serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Université de Montréal and an Attending Physician at the CHUM - Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal. Prior to these roles, Dr. Falcone worked as an Assistant Clinical Investigator and a Fellow in Infectious Diseases at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). They began their medical career as an Internal Medicine Resident at Tufts Medical Center.

Emilia Liana Falcone, M.D., Ph.D. holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of Cambridge. Emilia Liana also completed a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Falcone pursued an Internship and Residency in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Tufts University School of Medicine. Emilia Liana obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from McGill University, where they also earned a Master of Science (MS) in Experimental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cell Biology and Anatomy.
