Wei Wei

Wei Wei is a highly skilled research engineer with extensive experience in injury biomechanics and safety device development. Currently associated with Université Gustave Eiffel since January 2020, Wei conducts critical research on neck brace applications for karting and motorcycling safety, employing advanced simulation techniques and statistical analysis. Wei's involvement in the PIONEERS project at IFSTTAR focuses on enhancing safety for powered two-wheelers through innovative protective equipment and safety devices. Previous roles include research and development on spinal injury analysis for winter sports and a PhD focused on aortic injury mechanisms during car crashes, supported by solid academic credentials in mechanical and vehicle engineering from Hunan University.
