Tim Raffin

Tim Raffin is a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at the Institute for Factory Automation and Production Systems (FAPS) since February 2021. Previous experience includes conducting a feasibility study on the deployment of robots for automated optical inspection at Bosch, developing Python scripts and an MS Access application for maintenance planning, and implementing deep learning algorithms in the Advanced Analytics department at Bosch. Tim's earlier roles involved literature research and the development of a convolutional neural network at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, software development for project management at Siemens Healthineers, and application development at AUDI AG for maintenance staff qualification planning. Tim holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in International Production Engineering and Management, both from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.
