Glauco A. S. Oliveira

Glauco A. S. Oliveira, Ph.D., serves as a researcher at the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea) since July 2019, focusing on trade policy and international economic relations, particularly in sustainable development and economic governance related to environmental and energy transition. Prior experience includes roles as an economist and public policy analyst at the Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica (CADE), analyzing economic competition from August 2012 to June 2019, and as a public policy analyst at the Ministério da Fazenda from December 1999 to August 2012, where trade and competition policies were assessed. Earlier positions included public policy analysis in fiscal matters at the Ministério do Planejamento and as an information analyst at the Agência Brasileira de Inteligência (ABIN), concentrating on economic and political trends in Latin America. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Political Economy and Public Policy and master's degrees in Economics and International Relations from the University of Southern California and Universidade de Brasília, respectively.
