Jasmine Cox

Jasmine Cox has a diverse work experience in the field of education, starting in 2014. Jasmine began their career as a K/1 Combo Teacher at Kent Academy, where they provided individualized instruction and developed personalized learning plans for students. In 2016, they joined Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools as a Grade 1 Teacher, delivering curriculum aligned with state requirements. Later that year, they joined Sugar Creek Charter School as a 3rd Grade Teacher, implementing differentiated instruction and providing literacy intervention.

In 2017, Jasmine became an EC Director/Intervention Specialist at Unity Classical Charter School, where they audited and managed specially designed instruction for students with special education services. Jasmine also served as chair of the IEP team and facilitated school-wide initiatives. Jasmine'srole included supporting staff and curriculum rollout, as well as collaborating with the ELL Coordinator.

From 2018 to 2019, Jasmine worked at ARISTOTLE PREPARATORY ACADEMY CHALLENGE FOUNDATION ACADEMY as a Kindergarten and 1st Grade Teacher, focusing on developing courses and curriculum and editing online learning materials. In 2020, they took on the role of Middle School Principal/Instructional Coach, facilitating team PLCs and conducting teacher evaluations. Jasmine also developed and implemented API Integrated Canvas on the school website.

Jasmine expanded their instructional design skills as an Instructional Designer and Content Specialist at Brainchild from 2021 to 2022. In these roles, they developed high-quality learning materials and used multimedia content to enhance instruction.

Most recently, Jasmine worked as a Learning and Development Consultant at Justly Solutions from 2018 to 2022. Jasmine developed professional learning materials, tracked instructional design trends, and used evaluation approaches to identify performance gaps and increase achievement.

In 2023, Jasmine joined the Institute for Education Innovation as a Project Manager, utilizing their experience and skills to contribute to the organization's initiatives.

Jasmine Cox holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Barton College. Jasmine also has another Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Teaching from the same institution. Jasmine furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Education (MEd) in Early Childhood Education and Teaching and another MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University-Portland. Jasmine then went on to earn a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, as well as a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Elementary and Middle School Administration/Principalship from Queens University of Charlotte.

In terms of certifications, Jasmine obtained an Exceptional Children Licensure from the North Carolina Department of Education in July 2012. Jasmine also holds an NC Elementary Education (K-6) certification from the North Carolina Education Licensure, earned in the same month and year. Additionally, Jasmine acquired a School Administrator certification from the North Carolina Department of Education in December 2020.
