Rakhee Patel

Principal Research Fellow at Institute for Employment Studies

Rakhee Patel has extensive work experience in research and policy consultancy roles. Rakhee began their career as a Research Assistant at The Open University in 2002 and later worked as a Publications Coordinator at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. From 2007 to 2008, they served as an International Programmes Officer at London Metropolitan University. In 2008, Rakhee joined ICF International as a Public Policy Consultant and eventually became a Senior Public Policy Consultant, where they designed and managed research and evaluation studies for various government departments and third sector organizations. In 2015, they joined NatCen Social Research as a Research Director, leading mixed methods evaluations and research studies for UK government and third sector clients. Since 2018, Rakhee has been working as a Principal Research Fellow at the Institute for Employment Studies, where their responsibilities and specific projects are not provided.

Rakhee Patel completed a BA Joint Honours degree in French and Hispanic Studies from the University of Nottingham from 1998 to 2002. In 2004, they pursued an MSc in Educational Research Methods from The Open University. Additionally, from 2003 to 2004, they obtained an MSt in European Literature from the University of Oxford.
