Jan Nossen

Chief Scientist at Institute for Energy Technology

Jan Nossen has over 30 years of work experience, primarily in the field of energy technology. Jan joined the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) in 1990 and held various roles, including Research Scientist and Section Head. In 2008, they became the Deputy department head of the Process and Fluid Flow department at IFE and also led the Multiphase Flow Modelling group. Since 2015, they have served as the Chief Scientist at IFE. Prior to joining IFE, they worked on a PhD project at the University of Oslo from 1987 to 1990.

Jan Nossen completed their education in the field of fluid mechanics. Jan started their academic journey in 1982, attending the University of Oslo, where they earned a Cand. Scient. (MSc) degree in 1987. Afterward, they continued their education at the same university and obtained a Dr. Scient. (PhD) degree in Fluid Mechanics in 1990.
