Stephane Cohen

Stephane Cohen is an experienced national security expert currently serving as a Research Fellow at INSS Israel since August 2023. As a co-founder of NorthStar Security Analysis since March 2018, Cohen also runs a consultancy focused on national security. Prior roles include Director of the Diplomatic Program at The Israel Project and various defense analysis positions, as well as serving as a Liaison Officer to UN Forces in the Israel Defense Forces, where responsibilities included leadership of the IDF Liaison Unit and problem resolution along the Syrian border. Cohen began military service as an IAF Officer in the Israeli Air Force, focusing on manpower, logistics, and support operations. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Security and Diplomacy from Tel Aviv University and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from The Open University of Israel.
