Angel Eason, M.Ed., serves as Associate Director of Program Operations at the Institute for Sustainable Communities since November 2020, following prior roles as Program and Operations Manager and Coordinator. At Norfolk State University from November 2018 to November 2020, Angel was instrumental in implementing a high impact practice program aimed at enhancing first-year student retention through partnerships and grant utilization, effectively managing over 15 faculty and staff members. Angel's earlier experience at Iowa State University included serving as Residence Hall Director, overseeing community operations for over 500 students, as well as holding graduate assistant and facilitator roles focused on diversity training and operational management. Angel holds a Master of Education in Student Affairs/Higher Education from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Science in Communication/Marketing from Old Dominion University.

We address the root causes of climate change impacts by building community knowledge and skills, strengthening governance, and diversifying the field of sustainability professionals. Our approach incorporates capacity building, technical assistance delivery, knowledge products, climate change action planning, and peer learning.
