Hong Yu Liu is currently a Lecturer in Employment Analytics and Organisational Behaviour at the University of Sussex and holds the position of Research Fellow at the Institute for the Future of Work. Additionally, Liu serves as an Associate Fellow at the Digital Futures at Work Research Centre (Digit) and has contributed to various research projects, including work on the Childcare during Covid project and collaborations with notable economists, such as Christopher Pissarides. Liu's teaching experience includes undergraduate courses at Hong Kong Baptist University and engagement as a Research Assistant at multiple institutions, including City University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Liu completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology at the University of Cambridge and possesses a Master’s degree from The University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor’s from Hong Kong Baptist University.
