Mzingeli Thobani Mfekayi

Mzingeli Thobani Mfekayi is a multifaceted professional currently serving as the Deputy Head of Partnerships and Engagements Directorate at the AfCFTA Youth Advisory Council and as a Board Member Delegate to YCG at Y-IDEA. With ongoing roles at distinguished organizations such as the Institute of Directors South Africa as an IODSA Fellow and CIVICUS as an Associate Member, Mzingeli also has experience as a Graduate Research Fellow with the Young African Leadership Initiative. Mzingeli has participated in the World Youth Forum and is engaged with Schmidt Futures as a RISE Project Reviewer and Selector. Previous contributions include a role on the Membership Development Committee at JCI and leadership positions within the South African BRICS Youth Association. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Investment Management from the University of the Free State and various certifications from UNITAR and the Thabo Mbeki African School of Public & International Affairs, focusing on public administration and management.
