Sivenesan Govender

Sivenesan Govender currently serves as the Divisional Head of the Market Risk Division at the Prudential Authority-South African Reserve Bank since December 2022, overseeing supervision and regulation within the Risk Support Department. Prior experience includes managerial roles in market risk at the South African Reserve Bank and Standard Bank, as well as analytical positions at Absa Capital and Rand Merchant Bank. Sivenesan is a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa and is pursuing a PhD in Business Administration at Wits Business School. Educational credentials include an MPhil in Corporate Strategy from GIBS Business School and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Applied Mathematics from the University of South Africa.
