Danielle Charlton

Hazard & Risk Management Scientist at GNS Science

Danielle Charlton is a Hazard and Risk Management Scientist at GNS Science since February 2021, bringing extensive experience in academic and research roles. Previously, Danielle served as a Research Fellow at The University of Auckland and worked as a GIS Research Assistant at the University of Hertfordshire. Earlier positions included an Impact PhD researcher and Social Media Manager for the International Disaster Risk Reduction (IRDR) at UCL, as well as a GIS and Planning Officer with the Somerset Drainage Boards Consortium. Danielle holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Volcanic Hazards and GIS from UCL, a Master’s in the Science of Natural Hazards from the University of Bristol, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of the West of England.
