Malcolm Arnot

Malcolm Arnot is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in geological mapping and stratigraphy. Currently serving as the Team Leader of the Geological Mapping and Stratigraphy Team within the Surface Geosciences Department at GNS Science since November 2001, Malcolm has previously held roles as a Senior Petroleum Geologist and Research Associate at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh from 1991 to 2001. Malcolm holds a PhD in Petroleum Geoscience from Heriot-Watt University and both a BSc and MSc in Geology from Victoria University of Wellington. Education was initiated at Waiopehu College, completing studies there between 1980 and 1984.
