Alois Humer

Alois Humer is a distinguished researcher and academic in the field of geography, spatial research, and spatial planning. Currently serving as a research group leader at the Austrian Academy of Sciences since October 2023, Humer previously held the position of interim university professor at Universität Wien from October 2020 to December 2023. Humer's extensive experience includes roles as a senior postdoctoral fellow and visiting professor, with significant tenures at various institutions including Aalto University and the University of Vienna. Humer earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Geography from the University of Vienna, following a Master's degree in the same field from the same institution. This academic foundation is complemented by practical experience in research and scientific consultation.
