Westyn Hinchey has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Starting in 2003, they worked as a Special Events/Volunteer Coordinator for the National Adoption Center. Westyn then moved on to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where they served as an Assistant Director of Special Events from 2004 to 2006. In 2007, they held the role of Community Director (contract) for the March of Dimes and later became a Marketing Coordinator for the Daily Camera. From 2009 to 2010, Westyn worked as a City Spokesperson for the City of Wilkes-Barre. In 2011, they joined GWC Warranty as a National Brand Manager, responsible for various marketing and branding initiatives. Westyn then transitioned to Geisinger Health System, where they worked as a Public Relations and Marketing Specialist from 2013 to 2015. From 2015 to 2018, Westyn served as the Director of Digital Marketing and Public Relations at the Institute For Women's Health. Most recently, in 2018, they became a self-employed Owner of Directional Creative, providing strategy consulting for communications, marketing, PR, and digital campaigns. Currently, Westyn is the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at the Institute on Aging since December 2021.

Westyn Hinchey attended Scranton Preparatory School from 1993 to 1997. Westyn then pursued a degree in Communications with a minor in French at Boston College, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Additionally, they spent time at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) focusing on French and Communications.
