Rúben André Barreiro

Rúben André Barreiro is an experienced professional in the fields of information security, quantum computing, and computer engineering. Currently serving as an Invited Teaching Assistant at the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa since September 2024, Rúben has also held positions as a Research and Development Fellow at Instituto de Telecomunicações and as a Security Officer at SIBS. Previous roles include Secure Communications Junior Engineer at Elecnor Deimos, where Rúben contributed to projects on secure communications for defense, and Scientific Researcher at both Instituto de Telecomunicações and LASIGE, focusing on semi-quantum key agreement. Rúben's education includes ongoing Ph.D. studies in Information Security and multiple online courses in quantum computing and related fields. Key areas of interest encompass post-quantum cryptography, quantum networks, and quantum machine learning.
