Telmo Fernandes

Telmo Fernandes is a seasoned academic and researcher with extensive experience in electrical engineering and telecommunications. Since February 2016, Telmo has been a Senior Member of IEEE and has served as a Professor at Instituto Politécnico de Leiria from March 1997, progressing from Assistant Lecturer to Professor. Telmo has held leadership roles, including Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and membership in the Scientific and Pedagogic Commission of the EE Undergrad Course. Teaching expertise spans multiple undergraduate and master's courses. Additionally, Telmo coordinates the MSc in Electrotechnical Engineering at Instituto de Telecomunicações and co-owns Digiwest, Lda., a company specializing in electronics R&D. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Radio Communications from the University of Glamorgan and an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Coimbra.
