Doug Becker

Douglas Becker is a prominent figure in the education industry, currently serving as the Founder of Cintana Education since August 2019. Becker co-founded Sterling Partners in January 1983, which has been instrumental in investing in and founding numerous successful education companies, including Sylvan Prometric, Laureate Education, and Shorelight Education. As the Founder and Chairman of Laureate Education, Inc. from 2004 to December 2018, Becker oversaw the transformation of Sylvan Learning Systems, a company founded in 1991 where Becker served as Chief Executive Officer until 2004. Under Becker's leadership, Sylvan evolved into one of the world's largest tutoring companies and expanded into various educational sectors, including testing, assessment, and higher education.
