Jan Gunnar Karsten

Jan Gunnar Karsten, CFA, CFP, serves as a Board Member for the Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) Ireland and is also a member of the Advisory Committee at Visão Prev since April 2025. Karsten holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at BRAINVEST and is part of the Advisory Board at Integral Group, both roles initiated in August 2022. As a Partner at Karsten since 1997, Karsten possesses extensive experience in wealth management, previously leading as Chief Executive Officer at Julius Baer Family Office from January 2020 to March 2022 and at GPS Planejamento Financeiro from May 2011 to July 2020. Formerly a Managing Director at Citibank from June 2002 to May 2011, Karsten's educational background includes a Master's in Economics from FGV, a CFA charter, and various strategic planning programs from prestigious institutions.
