Athena Yap is the Founder and CEO of Goshsha, a retail media platform utilizing augmented reality to enhance in-store shopping experiences. Athena also serves on the Board of Directors and as an Affiliated Research Scientist at the Integrated Behavioral Health Research Institute, focusing on depression and suicide research through artificial intelligence. In addition, Athena is a UCI Senior Capstone Industry Advisor developing an AI-assisted mental health journaling app and is a member of the Orange County OC Startup Council. As the Founder and CEO of Matt Dot LLC, Athena promotes suicide prevention and behavioral health wellness through proactive AI solutions. Further experience includes overseeing Jackboy's Dog Bakery as CEO and authoring gourmet dog treats, along with engineering roles at ROCKWELL AVIATION SERVICES and BAE Systems in the aerospace manufacturing sector. Athena holds a BSc in Aerospace Engineering, an MBA, and a certificate in Machine Learning from prestigious institutions.
