Douglas Zhao

Douglas Zhao has a diverse work experience spanning various companies in the life sciences industry. Douglas started their career as a Sales and Marketing Manager at Promega Corporation, where they managed the distributor network and implemented field sales strategies. Douglas then moved on to Corning Incorporated, where they served as a Commercial Leader, responsible for building the Life Sciences division in China and managing the distribution network. Douglas later joined Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they held multiple roles, including APAC Strategy & Business Development Manager, Business Development Director, and Commercial Director. Douglas strategized and implemented the China strategy, led teams to achieve annual targets, and managed channel and market development. Prior to their current position, Douglas worked at Industrial Physics as the General Manager for Greater China, focusing on improving coverage and penetration in the market. Douglas built a scalable commercial organization to support newly acquired business units. In their current role as the Vice President of Sales, APAC at Integrated DNA Technologies, Douglas oversees sales operations and business development in the APAC region.

Douglas Zhao received a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Business Administration from the University of Science and Technology of China, where they studied from 1994 to 1999.
