Riyaz Sumar

Dr. Sumar specializes in cardiology, interventional cardiology, and endovascular medicine. He is Board Certified and part of the Fellowship of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Sumar was born and raised in Bombay, India. After he received his Doctorate of Medicine from Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, he moved to the United States to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a cardiologist. While in New Jersey, he completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Hospital and then followed by a Fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Seton Hall University.

Dr. Sumar currently serves as Chairman of the Cardiology Committee at West Valley Hospital in Goodyear where he is also the Cardiac Cath Lab Medical Director and on the Physician Leadership Council. Dr. Sumar also serves as Chairman of the Department of Cardiology for Integrated Medical Services.
