Biao Liu

Biao Liu is an accomplished professional in bioinformatics and computational science with extensive experience in various roles at leading organizations. Currently serving as Associate Director and Principal Computational Scientist at Intellia Therapeutics, Inc., since January 2020, Biao Liu previously contributed as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Medicinal Genomics, where automated NGS analysis pipelines were built, and strategic input for new product development was provided. Prior roles include Computational Biologist at Genocea Biosciences, focusing on antigen screening and immune-oncology projects, and Bioinformatics Scientist at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, specializing in cancer research through next-generation sequencing data analysis. Biao Liu's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry from the University of Rochester and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Materials Science and Engineering and Chemical Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, respectively.
