Angela Dean

Angela Dean has a diverse work experience in the field of product assurance, safety, and certification. Angela is currently working at Intelligent Energy as the Head of Product Assurance since October 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Product Safety and Systems Engineering Manager at Intelligent Energy from January to October 2022. Angela also served as the Head of Engineering (Interim) from September 2021 to January 2022 and as the Safety and Certification Manager from December 2019 to September 2021 at the same company. Before joining Intelligent Energy, they worked at HORIBA MIRA as a Functional & Product Safety Consultant from June 2016 to December 2019. Angela also had previous experience at Intelligent Energy as the Global Quality and Product Safety Manager from June 2015 to June 2016, Central Product Development Manager- Safety & Assurance from January to June 2015, Principal Engineer - Safety, Reliability & Certification from December 2012 to January 2015, Senior Reliability Engineer from June to December 2012, and Senior Engineer - Asset Management Analyst from May 2011 to June 2012. Angela also worked at Bombardier Transportation as the Lead Safety & Reliability Engineer from January 2010 to May 2011, and as the Predictive Services Engineering Team Leader, ORBITA from June 2006 to December 2009. Angela started their career at Rolls-Royce as an Advanced Technologist- Safety & Reliability from September 2002 to June 2006.

Angela Dean pursued their education in a chronological manner. In 1998, they started their journey at Loughborough University, where they obtained a degree in Mathematical Engineering, specifically specializing in Mathematics and Engineering. After completing this program in 2001, Angela went on to Nottingham University in 2001 for a year-long program, earning a Mathematics PGCE degree in Special Education and Teaching. Lastly, from 2004 to 2006, Angela Dean attended Loughborough University once again, this time obtaining an MSC degree in Risk & Reliability Methods, focusing on the field of study in Risk.
