Oscar Martin

Oscar Martin has held various roles in the field of system administration and virtualization. Oscar started their career as a System Technician at MEC - Ferr Technologies in 1999, where they worked on Linux systems and services for an ISP. Oscar then became a Computer/Network Trainer at CES in the same year. In 2002, they joined Universidad Politénica de Madrid as a System Administrator, where they managed Windows2003 and Linux services. Oscar also worked with Apache, FTP, DNS, DHCP, OpenLDAP, NIS, NFS, SAMBA, and performed scripting tasks using Bash and Perl. Oscar also gained experience in IBM Tivoli OS Deployment, RHEL3 clusters with MPI, CD Live KNOPPIX Personalization, and academic Iptables Firewall with HA.

In 2006, Oscar moved to SERIKAT as a System Linux Administrator/Analyst, where they worked until 2007. Oscar then joined BAYES FORECAST as a System/Security Administration Manager until 2009. After that, they worked as a System Virtualization Administrator at Financial Services from 2009 to 2011, gaining expertise in virtualization technologies like Vsphere5, View5, vCloud, KVM, and RHEV3.1.

From 2011 to 2013, Oscar was a System Virtualization Administrator at Grupo SMS, focusing on virtualization technologies. In 2013, they joined Indizen as a System Analyst for a brief period of time. Afterwards, they worked at StackOps from 2014 to 2015 as an OpenStack Cloud Administrator, where they managed OpenStack-based solutions, platforms, and provided troubleshooting and support for cluster architectures and HA solutions.

Most recently, Oscar has been working at intelygenz since 2015 as a Devops Administrator.

Oscar Martin attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2000 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Informatics Engineering. During the same period, they also studied at UPM and earned a degree in Computer Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Oscar Martin has obtained certifications in Docker from LinkedIn in November 2018 and as a RedHat Certified System Administrator for RHELS6 from RedHat in February 2012.
