Dr. Gilbert had a comprehensive understanding of LANL's infrastructure and provided technical solutions to complex problems related to supercomputing systems.

Dr. Marsh's career in information technology began in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as a Cyber Network Administrator from 2010 to 2015. In this role, they designed and built network infrastructures to support thousands of users. Dr. Gilbert also created and maintained IT standards for the 13th MEU and supervised a team of 30 Marines responsible for hardware and equipment maintenance.

In 2011, they attended the Marine Corps Communication School and received the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification in Network and System Administration/Administrator.

Dr. Marsh continued their education at the University of Phoenix, starting with an Associate's Degree in Information Technology from 2015 to 2016. Dr. Gilbert then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in the same field from 2016 to 2017. During this time, they also obtained academic certificates in Cisco Networking, Advanced Networking, and Cyber Security from the University of Phoenix.

In 2017, Dr. Marsh completed their Master's Degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix. Alongside their master's degree, they acquired additional certifications including CompTia A+, CompTia Network+, CompTia Security+, Microsoft Server 2016, and VMWARE 6.0 Infrastructure, although the exact years and months of completion are not specified.

Most recently, Dr. Marsh completed their highest level of education by earning a Doctorate of Management in Information Systems and Technology from the University of Phoenix, a three-year program from 2018 to 2021.
