Ilan Melendez

Ilan Melendez currently serves as the LACChain Regional Lead and Web3 Ecosystem Lead at the Inter-American Development Bank since September 2020, focusing on blockchain technology adoption to foster innovation and financial inclusion in the region. Ilan is a board member at AsoBlockchain Costa Rica and has held the position of President of the San Jose, CR Chapter of the Government Blockchain Association since October 2018. Previous experience includes roles as Program Project Manager at Input Output (IOHK) and founder of Mascarilla Digital, along with various positions at Intertec International, Wells Fargo, and Hewlett-Packard. Ilan holds multiple degrees, including an MBA in Finance from Tecnológico de Costa Rica and specializations in managing high-performance teams and CAPSTONE from INCAE Business School. The educational background also includes degrees in software development and finance from Universidad Latina de Ciencia y Tecnología and Universidad Internacional de las Américas.
