Sam Madison

Director, Clinical Research at Intercept Pharmaceuticals

Sam Madison has held various roles in the pharmaceutical industry. They have worked as a Director of Clinical Research at Intercept Pharmaceuticals since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager at Syneos Health starting in November 2020. From February 2019, Sam worked in Clinical Operations and Project Management at Merz North America. Before that, they worked as a Project Manager at INPERNUM Pharma Consulting starting in July 2017. Sam also has experience as an Associate Director of Project Management at Quintiles from November 2015 to June 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Program Manager at PAREXEL from March 2015 to October 2015. Lastly, Sam has extensive experience at GSK, starting as a Research Scientist from September 1997 to July 2001. They then moved on to become a Lead Clinical Development Scientist from July 2001 to June 2007 before taking on the role of Clinical Development Manager Oncology from June 2007 to February 2015.

Sam Madison attended East Carolina University from 1991 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology. They continued their education at the same institution from 1991 to 1997 and earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Immunology/Molecular Biology.
