Fuqu Hu

Fuqu Hu has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. They have worked at XBiotech USA, Inc. as a Senior Scientist since 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Scientist I from January 2018 to May 2018. In this role, they were involved in the production and testing of various products for molecular biology and qPCR applications. They also performed quality control testing and lab calculations. From January 2017 to January 2018, Fuqu Hu worked as a Research Scientist at Pro-Lab Diagnostics. Here, they played a leading role in launching new product lines and developed molecular diagnostic assays and nucleic acid extraction kits. Before that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from November 2014 to May 2016. Fuqu Hu started their career as a Research Assistant at Texas A&M University in August 2009, where they studied the interaction between Argonaute10-miRNA166/165 in Arabidopsis thaliana and identified small RNAs. They also served as a Teaching Assistant from August 2010 to August 2011.

Fuqu Hu holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Science and Technology of China, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. Fuqu further pursued their education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Texas A&M University, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Fuqu Hu has also obtained several certifications, including Inferential Statistics and Introduction to Probability and Data, from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016 and 2017.
