Engineering Manager at Intercom

Fabio Gallonetto has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as an Engineering Manager at Intercom since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Infogrid from August 2022 to April 2023 as a Senior Engineering Manager, where they were responsible for managing a tribe of three teams, bootstrapping a product team for a new project, and revamping the Agile process.

From August 2021 to July 2022, Fabio was a Senior Engineering Manager at Curve. In this role, they managed a team of 15 engineers, defined roadmaps, and increased the adoption of agile software development culture. Fabio also held the position of Software Engineering Manager at Curve from September 2019 to August 2021, where they contributed to improving the hiring and retention processes, represented the needs of mobile engineers, and trained new interviewers.

Prior to that, they worked at Schibsted Media Group as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2017 to September 2019. In this role, they played an active role in automation and build tools, led the global tools team, and improved the mobile offer for the common CI environment.

Before joining Schibsted, they worked at Future Workshops as the CTO from April 2012 to October 2017. In this position, they helped transition the company from a small developer studio to a full mobile agency, managed a mixed team of six, and was in charge of technical hiring. Fabio also worked as an iOS developer at Future Workshops from May 2010 to April 2012, where they developed apps for clients and created an in-house iOS library for networking and persistence.

Fabio's earlier experience includes working as a Consultant at NETCOM - IT Lifecycle Management from October 2008 to April 2009, an Internship as an IT consultant at NETCOM from October 2007 to April 2008, and an Internship as a Java Developer at IKS from April 2005 to July 2005.

Fabio Gallonetto pursued their education in the field of Computer Science at the Università degli Studi di Padova from 2002 to 2008. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in June 2021.
