Laura J. has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies.

Starting in 2011, they worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Market Resource Partners, where they were responsible for designing and executing email marketing campaigns for major technology clients. Laura managed campaigns from start to finish, including copywriting, design, A/B testing, and reporting.

In 2015, Laura joined Patreon as a Creator Discovery Coordinator (part-time), where they helped creators launch on the platform by providing expertise in campaign goals, rewards, and page design. Laura also sourced new creators and handled content creation and graphics.

From 2016 to 2019, Laura worked at One Voice Productions, LLC as a Community Manager & Communications Specialist. Their role involved managing communication with the community, gathering feedback, resolving issues, and managing community-related projects.

Laura then joined Convention Management Resources (CMR) in 2016 as a Marketing Manager. Here, they managed marketing campaigns for various clients in professional organizations, designing and executing email campaigns, and conducting engagement analysis.

In 2017, Laura started working at Intercom as a Customer Support Representative. Laura worked with customers to answer questions, solve problems, and provide best practices. Laura also served as the eyes and ears of the company, providing actionable insights for company growth. In 2019, they were promoted to a Senior Customer Support Specialist role, where they took on leadership, mentorship, and onboarding responsibilities, and helped define team workflows and grow internal resources. Laura also managed projects, including content creation and events.

Laura J. obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where they studied from 2005 to 2010.

In addition to their bachelor's degree, Laura J. has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they earned the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) from the IAAP - International Association of Accessibility Professionals. In 2018, they also received a Certificate in Mindfulness from ALLEGRA Learning Solutions, LLC.

More recently, Laura J. has obtained various certifications from LinkedIn and other institutions. In 2023, they completed a certification titled "Using Resilience to Overcome the (Seemingly) Impossible" from LinkedIn. In 2022, they completed certifications in "Change Leadership" and "Leading with Fearless Mindfulness" from LinkedIn. In addition, in 2021, they obtained certifications in "Accessible Customer Service for Virtual Customer Service Teams" from Accessibility.com, and "Delivering a world-class customer support experience" and "Designing and implementing a conversational framework for support teams" from Intercom.
