Peter Scott

Founder, Director at Interface Polymers

Peter Scott has a long and varied work experience. Peter began their career in 1992 as a Royal Society European Research Fellow at the University of Konstanz. Peter then moved to the University of Sussex, where they held the positions of Ramsay Memorial Fellow, Lecturer in Chemistry and Research Fellow. In 1997, they became a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Warwick. In 2016, they were the Founder and Director of Interface Polymers Ltd, a spin out company arising from their group's research at Warwick. In 2017, they became the Director of the Institute of Advanced Study at the University of Warwick. In 2018, they were appointed a Royal Society Industry Fellow at The Royal Society and a Member of the Board of Trustees at NMiTE.

Peter Scott obtained their BSc(hons) in Applied Chemistry from The University of Salford between 1984 and 1988. Peter then went on to study Chemistry at the University of Oxford between 1988 and 1991, where they obtained their DPhil. In 2008, they earned their DSc in Chemistry from the University of Warwick. Additionally, they are a Fellow Chartered Chemist of the Royal Society of Chemistry, certified by the Royal Society of Chemistry in March 2021.
