Tan Meng Hong

Tan Meng Hong has extensive work experience in firmware engineering, particularly in the field of storage devices and automotive products.

From 2000 to 2010, they worked as an Application Engineer at NXP Semiconductors.

From 2010 to 2015, they worked at Western Digital as a Principal Firmware Engineer and Team Lead. Tan successfully led a team of 8 engineers and managed projects for the Enterprise SSD division. Tan also formed a new firmware team in Singapore, focusing on SAS/SATA enterprise hard drive features.

In 2018, they joined Desay SV Automotive as a Senior Principal Firmware Engineer, where they collaborated on the Advance Development team for automotive products. Tan specifically developed the Audio Video Bridging firmware stack for car infotainment products and supported technical discussions on new technologies.

Also in 2018, they joined Intermec by Honeywell as an Advance Embedded Engineer. Here, they designed and developed firmware platforms and software for Thermal Barcode Printers. Tan implemented various barcode printer features under an embedded Linux environment and developed automated testing using C and Python scripts.
