Zak Summerscale

Zak Summerscale serves as the Global Head of Credit Fund Management at Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) since June 2016, bringing extensive experience in high yield investments. Previously, Zak held the position of Chief Investment Officer for European High Yield at Babson Capital Management from February 2001 to March 2016, overseeing European loans and high yield bonds. Prior to that, Zak was a Senior Portfolio Manager at New Flag Asset Management from 1999 to 2001 and served as Head of European High Yield and Distressed Debt at the United Bank of Kuwait from 1996 to 1999. Zak began the professional career as an Auditor at Ernst & Young from 1993 to 1996. Zak holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Durham University, obtained between 1990 and 1993, and attended the Elliott School from 1982 to 1989.
