Shereen Abd elghani Sloiman IBCLC is a distinguished lactation consultant with extensive experience in leadership roles across several organizations. Currently serving as the Appalachian Latch program leader and instructor at Appalachian Breastfeeding Network since May 2024, Shereen also contributes as a volunteer for research and task force committees at the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA). An internationally board-certified lactation consultant since August 2007, Shereen has received awards from both IBLCE and ILCA and is actively involved in various committees, including the Management Technical Assistance committee of the U.S. Breastfeeding Committee (USBC) and the Professional Advisory committee for GOLD Learning Online Education. Educational achievements include a master's degree in Pediatrics and Neonatology from a faculty of medicine, along with ongoing studies in clinical nutrition and medical education from Harvard Medical School.
