Tiina Ruohola

Tiina Ruohola currently serves as the Chair of BusinessEurope's VAT policy group and is the Head of VAT at the EK – Confederation of Finnish Industries. Ruohola has been active in multiple roles since May 2018, including membership in the VAT Expert Group of the European Commission, the Finnish Central Tax Board, and the Board of Adjustments, addressing both excise and VAT matters in Finland. Additionally, Ruohola contributes to academia as a University Lecturer at Tampere University and the University of Vaasa, and is a co-author for the EU VAT Compass related to Finland. Educational credentials include ongoing doctoral studies in Tax law/VAT at Tampere University and previous degrees in International Business and Tax Law from Tilburg University and the University of Eastern Finland.
