Alison Gowman Cbe

Alison Gowman CBE currently serves as a Lay Canon and member of Chapter at St Paul's Cathedral, London, where involvement includes being a charity trustee of the newly formed charitable trust. Since 2021, Alison has been a member of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group for the International Business and Diplomatic Exchange (IBDE). As an elected Alderman for the Ward of Dowgate since May 2002, Alison contributes to the Bridge House Estates Board and the City Bridge Trust Committee with the City of London Corporation. Alison joined DLA Piper in September 1978, becoming a partner in the Real Estate Group in 1985, and currently holds the position of Consultant. Additionally, Alison was a Non-Executive Director at the Green Finance Institute from July 2019 to July 2022. Educational qualifications include a BA Honours in Law from Van Mildert College, University of Durham and completion of Law Society Part II exams at the College of Law in Guildford.
