John Choptiany

John Choptiany is currently the VP of Programs at iDE, overseeing technical departments such as Climate, Resilience and Agriculture, Nutrition, Design, and WASH. John is also the Co-founder and Co-CEO of farmbetter, a startup that provides climate-resilience solutions to smallholder farmers. Prior to this, John held roles at Palladium, FAO, and their own consulting company. John has a background in environmental science and engineering, with a PhD and Masters in related fields from Dalhousie University. John is also certified in energy innovation and emerging technologies from Stanford University.
