Michael Gagnon

Michael Gagnon is an experienced engineer with a strong background in biotechnology and chemical engineering. Currently serving as a Lead Engineer at IFF since February 2021, Michael focuses on process development across various projects involving research, reaction optimization, scale-up, and techno-economic analysis. Previously, Michael held positions at DowDuPont as an Engineer II and at DuPont as a Research Investigator, where involvement in biotechnology projects continued. Academic experience includes a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, complemented by roles as a researcher, teaching assistant, and research assistant. Early career experience includes an internship aimed at pollution prevention and service as an Engineering Laboratory Technician in the US Navy aboard the USS Santa Fe.
