Walid Nasr currently serves as the Regional Technical Lead in the Environment, Climate, Gender and Social Inclusion Division at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since June 2023. Prior to this role, Nasr was an International Consultant in Energy, Environment and Climate Change from May 2022 to May 2023. A notable tenure at the Lebanese Petroleum Administration includes serving as the Chairman of the Board from December 2017 to April 2023 and as a Board Member leading the Strategic Planning Department from December 2012 to November 2017. Experience also includes a role as Coordination Officer with the UN from February 2011 to November 2012, and earlier positions include Program Officer at IFAD and various roles at UNDP and The World Bank. Nasr holds a Master’s degree in Public Health - Environmental Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, both from the American University of Beirut.
