Country Director, Admin AND Operations at International Hospitality Institute

Chijioke Chukwubuikem has a diverse work history spanning various roles and industries. Chijioke started their career as an Office Manager at A.O. Chukwubuike & Sons company before transitioning to a Stock Controller role at Roban Hotels Enugu. Chijioke then worked as a Night Auditor at Universal Hotel Enugu and later joined the National Youth Service Corps as a Peer Educator Trainer, where they trained secondary school students on HIV prevention.

Chukwubuikem returned to Universal Hotel Enugu as a Night Auditor before taking on multiple roles within the company, including Administrative Manager, Front Office Manager, Hotel Resident Manager, and eventually Hotel Manager. Chijioke demonstrated effective leadership, supported HR processes, and optimized various operational systems and strategies.

In 2019, Chukwubuikem became the General Manager of Spa Lavender, where they successfully supervised all levels of work, oversaw daily operations, and strategically developed new projects. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, they and their team worked remotely with stakeholders to develop a new project in Awka.

In 2021, Chukwubuikem took on the role of General Manager at Swiss International Hotels & Resorts, where they efficiently operated a hotel and achieved high service standards, guest satisfaction, and crew relations. Chijioke also played a key role in the successful transition and pre-opening exercises of the hotel.

Currently, Chukwubuikem serves as the Country Director of Administration and Operations at the International Hospitality Institute.

Chijioke Chukwubuikem has a strong education history in public administration. In 2006, they obtained an HND in Public Administration from the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2005, they completed an OND in Public Administration at Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State. Chukwubuikem's secondary education includes a General Studies degree from Summit International Secondary School, which they completed from 1996 to 2002.

Additionally, Chijioke Chukwubuikem has obtained various certifications related to commercial and revenue management, digital marketing, and human resources management. These certifications were received from Swiss International Hotels & Resorts and Google Digital Skills For Africa. Chijioke is also a member of the Institute of Hospitality UK, Nigeria, and a Fellow of the Public Administration and Management Development Institute (PAMDI). Chukwubuikem holds a project management certificate from the Project Management Institute and is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria.
