Joeri Rogelj is a Professor in Climate Science & Policy and Director of Research at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and Environment at Imperial College London since May 2018. Prior to this role, Joeri served as a Reader in Climate Science & Policy and Senior Research Scholar at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) from July 2014. Joeri's previous experience includes positions at the University of Oxford as an Oxford Martin School Visiting Fellow, a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Student at ETH Zurich, and Research Assistant/Quantitative Policy Analyst at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. Joeri has a PhD in Climate Science from ETH Zürich and holds two Master's degrees from KU Leuven in Cultures and Development Studies and engineering. Career experiences also encompass roles as an Editor and Project Officer focusing on rural development projects related to water and renewable energies, as well as monitoring Belgian NGO activities in Rwanda.
