Neil Meads

Deputy Division Chief, Multilateral Surveillance Division, Research Department at International Monetary Fund

Neil Meads is an experienced economist who has worked at the International Monetary Fund since December 2012. Neil currently holds the position of Deputy Division Chief in the Multilateral Surveillance Division within the Research Department. Neil is also responsible for producing the Managing Director's Global Policy Agenda and works on various global economic issues such as SDRs, the International Monetary System, and contributing to G20 work. Prior to working at the IMF, Neil was a Senior Economist at the Bank of England from March 2007 to December 2012, where Neil authored chapters for the Inflation Report. Neil holds a BA in History and Economics from Durham University and an Msc in Economics from the University of York.
