Ying Xu

Ying XU is an accomplished economist currently employed at the International Monetary Fund since September 2022 as part of the Economist Program. Prior experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies from September 2019 to August 2022, providing support for core graduate courses in Macroeconomics and Sustainable Finance. Ying has held various positions at the OECD, including Statistician and Trainee, where responsibilities involved data collection and analysis related to national accounts and GDP revisions. Additional roles include experience as a Research Assistant at the United Nations ESCAP focusing on trade and innovation, and internships in the banking sector. Ying holds a Doctor's and a Master's degree in International Economics from the Geneva Graduate Institute, as well as an undergraduate degree in Finance from Zhejiang University.
