Yves-Israel Matabaro

Yves-Israel Matabaro is an accomplished project manager currently leading the Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion and Migration Environment, Climate Change, and Disaster Risk Reduction Units at IOM - UN Migration since August 2020. Previously, Yves-Israel coordinated operational activities at the IOM Sub-Office in Bassikounou, implementing emergency projects for Malian refugees. Experience also includes serving as a Civil Affairs Officer at UNMISS, where coordination with local authorities and organizing civil society forums were key responsibilities. Yves-Israel’s earlier roles encompass positions at the United Nations, Bank of Africa as Customer Service Manager, and an Assistant Professor at Université Libre des Pays des Grands Lacs. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Assam Don Bosco University and a Master’s degree in Finance from the Private University of the Great Lakes Region in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
