Benjamin Faveri is a Consulting Scientist at the International Panel on the Information Environment (IPIE), focusing on global standards for AI audits since January 2024. Prior to this, Benjamin served as a Research Fellow in AI Governance, Law, and Policy at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, working on soft law governance of AI under Dr. Gary Marchant from January 2023 to August 2024. Benjamin's experience includes roles as a Research and Policy Analyst at the Responsible AI Institute, Team Lead and Member at the Center for AI and Digital Policy, and Research Assistant at Carleton University within a Legal Decision-Making Lab. Notably, Benjamin contributed to a project on social media data extraction best practices for the Government of Canada and worked as a Research Analyst for the National Capital Commission. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Policy and Administration and a Master's degree in Political Economy from Carleton University, alongside additional studies in AI law and ethics and various degrees in criminology and psychology from Lakehead University.
