Head Group Communications at International Personal Finance

Jonathan Woodier has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jonathan started their career at Metro Radio in Hong Kong as a Business Editor from 1993 to 1995. Jonathan then moved on to work as a Senior Editor at CNBC Asia from 2000 to 2002. Following this, Jonathan joined DBS Bank as a Director of Media Relations, Asia, where they played a crucial role in positioning the bank in the media to support its ambition of becoming a leading Asian bank. Jonathan later worked at Citibank Asia as a VP of Corporate Communications for the Asia-Pacific region, responsible for implementing media relations plans across 12 markets. Jonathan then transitioned to Citibank, where they served as Managing Director of the Global Project Office, leading a program aimed at restoring trust and confidence in the bank. Jonathan also held the position of Director of Corporate Communications for Citibank in the EMEA region, overseeing brand promotion and protection. Jonathan joined Santander UK after their tenure at Citibank, where they served as the Head of Strategic Communications, Corporate Affairs, and Marketing, driving cultural transformation initiatives and aligning business objectives. In 2016, they took on the role of Associate Fellow at the King's Centre for Strategic Communications and became a Member of the Advisory Board at Asia Centre, Bangkok. Jonathan's most recent position is Head of Group Communications at International Personal Finance Plc. In addition to their professional roles, Jonathan has also conducted research as a Professor at the Sol International School of Media and Communication Arts, Woosong University, and has been involved in various research projects.

Jonathan Woodier received their education from various institutions. Jonathan obtained a PhD in Media and Political Change from The University of Queensland, graduating in 2006. Prior to that, they pursued an MA in Comparative Asian Studies from The University of Hong Kong, which they completed in 1994. Additionally, they earned a BA Hons in Politics and Sociology from the University of Reading in 1985. Jonathan'searliest education was at Leighton Park, where they attended from 1972 to 1977. In terms of additional certifications, Jonathan has completed several courses on LinkedIn, including Managing Brand Reputation, Productive Creativity, Enhancing Individual and Group Creativity, Designing Emotion: How to Use Design to Move People, Creating a Culture of Collaboration, Decision-Making in High-Stress Situations, Performance Management: Employee Engagement, and Developing a Critical Thinking Mindset.
